When it comes to learning about personal growth and professional development opportunities, I am one of the biggest geeks you will ever meet. I love reading, watching documentaries, and listening to podcasts that motivate and empower me to live better, dream bigger, and strive harder.
Figuring out how to grow and allow my inner light to shine brighter is my idea of a great time. I mean it: it’s like an adrenaline rush for me. So much so that I cannot read empowering books or watch inspiring shows right before going to bed, otherwise I get so pumped and excited that I tend to stay awake all night figuring out how to take over the world. When it comes to creating the best version of myself, I’m a total junkie who looks forward to my next rush.
Over the years I have devoured numerous books and resources. And trust me, there are a bunch of duds out there. I cannot tell you how many books I have read that did absolutely nothing to inspire me and left me hungry for more. Thankfully, for every mediocre source, there have been many that have transformed me into a better person and enriched my life.

Here’s a list of my favorites, so far:
Books
-
The Magnolia Story – Chip and Joanna Gaines (mainly because I’m obsessed with Jo Jo, but it’s still a great story about believing in your dreams)
-
For tips on debt-free living and financial freedom, I consume anything by Dave Ramsey
Documentaries & Shows
-
Becoming Warren Buffett HBO Documentary Films
-
Fear{less} with Tim Ferriss An AT&T Original Series
-
Jiro Dreams of Sushi– Available on NetFlix (it’s not just about sushi, but also about finding your passion and perfecting your craft)
-
Minimalism: A Documentary About the Important Things (it’s about so much more than getting rid of stuff – it’s also about determining what you truly value to take full control your life)
Podcasts
Podcasts are completely new to me. I recently started listening to one that I cannot get enough of and am slowly building my library.
I’m constantly researching more options and will expand this list as I find additional life-changing tools.

Wishing you peace, love, adventure, and growth,
Jen
